Ok, so here is a long story with a great ending. If you prefer not to read on the entire story then you can probably tell from the title that I aced #18 over the water at Shelly Sharpe/Scottsdale Course.

So, anyhow there I was about a month ago realizing that the wife had planned an Anniversary getaway to faraway Phoenix on the same weekend as the Tumbleweed. I was bummed yet I had already commited to the wife and the room was paid for. So, of course, I brought my bag up to Phx as I always do when I travel anywhere and called my buddy Lynn Smith (Tempe local) to play a round at the Scottsdale primo course this past Saturday morn. The round started out ok, but sprinklers were going strong and every tee pad was slippery slidey and long story short it was a par round......until.......the last hole. Most of you have played #18 at "The Shelly", and you know that the heizer route either hugs the water or is right on top of it. This shot of mine was just over the water on the right side and it was line drive heizer style. In other words I think if she hadn't been gobbled by the chains she was water bound left of the bucket. Lucky for me.....it stuck ! What a sweet beginning to a great weekend. Green Day followed that night for 3 hours of a kick arse band. Ok, I'm done now. I love this sport!
