......i just picked up the new Tommy Guerrero "From the Soil to the Soul"....there's alot of bands that roam in different genres which makes it hard to define their style...Tommy is one of them....similar to the way i feel about Galactic or DJ Greyboy who can be placed in the Soul section as well as HipHop or Rock..i like the term JamRock because they like to stretch out alot of their material into instrumentals....not far away from the Grateful Dead...this album is little more slick since joining the Quannum stables...but his elder material stand on its own merit....

The Infectious Grooves of the early 90's is a mix of funk, punk, soul, humor and rock. The album, "The Groove That Makes Your Booty Move", was and is still fantastic.Lead Mike Muir and bassist Robert Trujillo from Suicidal Tendencies take and make it to the max. Ozzy Osbourne even does chorus on Therapy. You will like it to the max.

You were lucky alright. What did Sarsipius look like? Did he smell funny? Ha Ha. It's pretty ironic you saw them in '93'. I just happened to catch the Phunk Junkeez that summer at The Rock. At the time I had not heard of them, but a buddy assured me the cover would be worth it. I effin loved the show. The lead singer kept spitting into the air over his head and catching it back into his mouth. He never missed a shot.

Eating ones own spit is not an impressive act. It can be called crude or caveman-like, but when I say he never missed, I meant it. He must of had a little something special in there to keep it together. "Strait to Hell" by the Clash on the Combat Rock album. Now there is a piece of art. Get it, love it, live it.
